JOYCE TENNESON

Joyce Tenneson has acheived high distinction in both the fine art and commercial photography fields. Her personal work has been exhibited throughout the world in over 100 exhibitions and is included in many museum collections. She is the author of several books, including In-Sights: Self Portraits by Women and Joyce Tenneson: Photographs. Formerly a photography instructor at the Corcoran School of Art, Tenneson is still a much sought-after lecturer and workshop instructor. Tenneson’s beauty, fashion, and portrait work for commercial clients in Europe, Japan and the United States appears regularly in such magazines as French and Italian Vogue, The New York Times, Esquire and L.A. Style. In 1989, she won the International Center of Photography’s “Infinity” award for the year’s best-applied photography; in 1990, Women in Photography named her “Photographer of the Year”. Tenneson lives in New York City.
