Behzad Tabar employs a variety of mediums to create distinctive drawings and paintings that defy most existing classifications. The early part of his career consisted of works of realism in oil and graphite, which have evolved to mixed media work in abstract and expressionistic styles. His themes center around the interplay of opposites, and the contrast of organic and inorganic forms and color palettes. Behzad is classically trained in fine art, and has a degree in digital design. His work has been valued for the past eighteen years through commissions by private collectors, including corporate designers. His work graces the impressive working spaces of commercial buildings, as well as the residences of collectors throughout the U.S.
